Paper Sources to Load Paper

Page Sizes and Media Types compatible with the printer

Paper can be loaded into two sources, the upper cassette 1 (A) and lower cassette 2 (B).

In the upper cassette 1 (A), all sizes of paper compatible with this printer (plain paper, photo paper,
envelopes, etc.) can be loaded.

In the lower cassette 2 (B), A4, Letter, and Legal-sized plain paper can be loaded.

Media Types You Can Use

You can load the same size of plain paper (A4, Letter, and Legal) in both cassettes, then set the printer to
automatically switch the paper source and feed paper from the other cassette if paper in one cassette
runs out.

Cassette settings

Note

• When printing, be sure to select the correct page size and media type. If the wrong page size and

media type are selected, the printer may feed paper from the wrong paper source or may not print
with the proper print quality.

The cassette can be adjusted to three lengths. Press down the lock (C) on the cassette to extend the
cassette.
