Checking the Print Image
1) Place a document on the document glass, copy it by feeding paper from the cassette or
manual-feed tray, and then check the resultant print image.
• Check that no abnormal noise is heard.
• Check the image quality at respective magnifications.
• Check that the document is copied normally on the specified number of sheets.
Checking the Connection to the Network
1) Press the following keys in sequence to call up the service mode screen:
> 2 key > 8 key >
2) Select SERVICE MODE > #REPORT > REPORT OUTPUT > SPEC LIST > OK.
3) When “SPEC LIST” is displayed, check that “NETWORK” in “ACTIBAT FUNCTION” is set
to “ON”.
4) Ask the system administrator of the customer to configure the network connection.
Setting the Date and Time
1) Press to call up the user mode screen.
2) Select “TIMER SETTING”, and press the OK key.
3) Select “DATE & TIME SETTING”, and then press the OK key. The previously set date and
time are displayed.
4) Enter the current date and time using numeric keys.
5) Press the OK key to allow the entered date and time to take effect.
Setting the Cassette Heater (if equipped with the
cassette heater)
1) On the customers request, turn the cassette heater ON according to the climate condition.
