Place 5 sheets of blank paper into the feeder.
Make sure that you fan the sheets of paper well.
Use A4 paper (60 g/m 2 to 80 g/m 2 ).
Transcription Roller Cleaning
If the back side of printed paper is smudged, the transcription roller in the main unit
may be dirty. If this happens, use the Transcription Roller Cleaning function to
clean the transcription roller.

The Adjustment/Cleaning menu appears.

press [OK].
The machine starts cleaning the feeder.
After the cleaning is completed, the screen
returns to the Standby display. The feeder is
clean. Try scanning again.

Trans. Roller>

press [OK].
The <Start Cleaning?> display appears.

Use [ ] or [ ] to select <Yes>

press [OK].
The machine starts cleaning the transcription
roller.
After the cleaning is completed, the screen
returns to the Standby display.
