Full Adjustment
IMPORTANT
•
The following two types of full gradation adjustments can be made:
- S Printer
- Printer Only
Auto gradation adjustment in Adjustment/Cleaning (from the Additional Functions screen) is performed
according to the setting that has been set in Device Management Settings (from the Additional
Functions screen). (See "Auto Gradation Adjustment," on p. 6-72.)
•
[S Printer] can be selected only if you use the optional Color Image Reader-H1.
•
This machine adjusts the toner and print speed according to the paper type. To make effective
adjustments, select the correct paper type.
•
Make sure that you place the test prints properly. Accurate recalibrations of the gradation, density, and
colour settings of the machine cannot be made if the test prints are not scanned correctly.
•
It is recommended that you use Canon High Grade (100 g/m
2
) (MONDI BUSINESS PAPER Holding) for
a test print. Calibrations are made based on the output test print. If the paper used for a test print is not
one that is specified for test printing, tone adjustment may not be performed correctly.
•
When performing full adjustment, three sheets of test print ([S Printer] is selected) and ten
sheets of test print ([Printer Only] is selected) are output. Make sure that A3 paper is loaded into the
machine before starting this procedure.
NOTE
Test prints are not counted as part of the copy or print total page counts.
