Installing system software through an Ethernet port

To install system software through an Ethernet port, you will need the following:

• Ethernet crossover cable (4-pair/8-wire, short-length)

To determine whether the cable you are using is a Ethernet crossover cable, compare the 
connectors on the cable. The ribbon sequence on the connectors of a Ethernet crossover 
cable are 

not

 identical.

• Computer with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 

–

A DVD drive, built-in or attached

–

Support for 100BaseTX or 1000BaseT

–

1.5GB minimum memory capacity

• System Software DVD

The System Software DVD contains the system software and the Fiery System Software 
Installer.
