Detecting a document double feed
This scanner includes a function to detect document double feeds. By
using this function, the scanner will automatically stop when it detects
that multiple documents have been fed at the same time.
Setting procedure

Set the scanning conditions.

Place the document as described in the

Open the advanced settings dialog box.

Click the [Feeding] tab.

Select the [Double Feed Detection] check box on the
[Feeding] tab. You can enable the [Detect by Length].
Hint
Stops document transport when a transported document is
detected to be 35 mm (1.38") longer (or shorter) than the length
of the first fed document and a double feed is judged to have
occurred. Ideal when scanning a batch of identical size
documents. It may not work properly when scanning a batch of
varying size documents.

Click the [OK] button and close the settings screen.
