Depending on the country of purchase, some settings may not be available.
PAPER SETTINGS
Setting Item Description
1. CASSETTE Sets the paper size and type on the paper feeder. (See “Setting
Paper Size and Type,” on p. 2-13.)
1. PAPER SIZE Sets the paper size from the following options:
LTR, LGL, A4, OFICIO, BRAZIL-OFICIO, MEXICO-OFICIO, FOLIO,
GOVERNMENT-LETTER, GOVERNMENT-LEGAL, and FOOLSCAP
2. PAPER TYPE Sets the paper type from the following options:
PLAIN PAPER, PLAIN PAPER L, HEAVY PAPER, HEAVY PAPER H,
and TRANSPARENCY
VOLUME CONTROL
Setting Item Description
1. MONITOR VOLUME Sets the volume for monitor tone during the fax transmission.
0–3 (2)
2. CALLING TONE Sets the volume of the ring produced when the machine detects
a call.

3. ENTRY TONE Beeps when pressing the keys on the operation panel.
0–3 (2)
4. ERROR TONE Beeps when an error (e.g., TX error) occurs.
