● 2-Sided Scanning Control
Scanning of 2-sided original is performed by simultaneous 2-sided scanning method.
(reversing 2-sided scanning is not performed).
This is to feed the original in the machine only once by scanning the front side with the
scanner unit in the reader unit while scanning the back side with the scanner unit in the DADF
at the same time.

Note: Additional Functions Mode (Black Scan Speed/Image Quality Priority)
To switch the operation at black and white scanning, see the following for the setting
items.
• Speed Priority (default)
• Image Priority
When “Image Priority” is specified, the machine executes color scanning operation in
case of black and white scanning.
Note: Additional Functions Mode (Silent Mode)
Operational sound level during the original feeding in DADF is selectable.
Setting is available as follows:
• Normal mode: stream scanning is performed at normal pickup timing (default)
• Silent mode: stream scanning is performed at pickup timing for the silent mode
This equipment can perform high speed scanning. There is concern, however, that the
enhanced motor rotating speed can cause louder operational sound. Select the silent
mode in the case that high speed scanning is not needed or lower the operational
sound level.
When changing this setting during original feeding operation, the change is not reflected
immediately, but from the next stream scanning operation.
