Geotagging Images
You can geotag images with GPS Receiver GP-E2 (sold separately) or
a Bluetooth enabled smartphone.
Using GP-E2

Attach GP-E2 to the camera.

Attach GP-E2 to the camera’s hot
shoe and turn it on. For details, refer
to the GP-E2 Instruction Manual.

Precautions When Using GP-E2
o
Be sure to check the countries and regions where its use is allowed,
and use the function in accordance with the laws and regulations of the
country or region.
o
Make sure the GP-E2 firmware is updated to Ver. 2.0.0 or later. Firmware
updating requires an interface cable. For updating instructions, visit the
Canon website.
o
The cable included with the GP-E2 cannot be used to connect the
camera to the GP-E2.
o
The digital compass cannot be used with the camera, and the shooting
direction is not recorded.
