Customizing Shutter Button Functionality

You can set the functions performed by pressing the shutter button

halfway or completely during movie shooting.

Select [

btn function].

Select an item.

Half-press

Specify whether pressing the shutter

button halfway starts metering,

metering and Movie Servo AF, or

metering and One-Shot AF.

Fully-press

Specify whether pressing the shutter

button completely is disregarded or

starts/stops movie shooting.

With

[Fully-press]

set to

[Start/stop mov rec]

, you can start/stop

shooting movies not only with the movie shooting button but also by

pressing the shutter button completely or using Remote Switch RS-

60E3 (sold separately, p.176).

Even if you set

[Fully-press]

[No function]

, the camera will start or stop

shooting time-lapse movies if the shutter button is pressed completely when

the camera is set up for time-lapse movies.
