
Power Shuts Off By Itself
Check
If printer is set to turn off automatically after a certain time, disable this setting.
If you have set the printer to turn off automatically after a specified time, the power will shut off by itself once that
time has elapsed.
• If you are using a Windows and if you do not want the printer to turn off automatically:
Open the printer driver setup window and in
Auto Power
in
Maintenance
sheet, select
Disable
for
Auto
Power Off
.
• If you are using a Mac OS and if you do not want the printer to turn off automatically:
Open Canon IJ Printer Utility2, select
Power Settings
in the pop-up menu, and then select
Disable
for
Auto Power Off
on
Auto Power
.

• You can also enable the printer to turn on/off automatically from the operation panel.
Turning on Printer Automatically
• If you are using a Windows, you can also enable the printer to turn on/off automatically from ScanGear
(scanner driver).
