Description
Since neither the recognition of the network nor the execution of Ping command succeeded, the main controller PCB (main) was replaced with a new one for
solution.
Cause
Since the main controller PCB (main) was faulty, it failed in communication with the main controller PCB (sub LANBER-C). This caused this machine to
fail to recognize the network board and respond to Ping commands from outside.
Field Remedy
Reference: If a Ping command is executed normally in an environment in which this machine is directly connected to the tool PC with a crossing cable, which
shows that the network has a problem. If such is a case, contact the system administrator.
1. Check the version of system software; if it is earlier than Ver. 66.02, upgrade the software to Ver.66.02 or later.
2. If the symptom still occurs, re-fit the network cable.
3. If the symptom still occurs, re-fit the main controller PCB (sub LANBER-C).
4. If the symptom still occurs, replace the main controller PCB (main) with a new one.

Description
If transmission errors occur frequently at time of sending FAX messages to foreign countries, perform the following procedure.
Field Remedy
1. In service mode > FAX > Sssw > SW03 > Bit1, change the setting to '1'. This will enable the transmission of an echo protect tone for a V.29 transmission
model.
2. If Step1 does not work on the symptom, change the setting value to '1' in service mode > FAX > Sssw > SW03 > Bit 7. This will make the machine to
output 1080Hz tonal signal before outputting the CED signal.
3. If the symptom still occurs, change the setting value to '1' in service mode > FAX > Sssw > SW03 > Bit 4. This will change the transmission mode (including
a transmission made by using the numeric keys) to international transmission (1).
4. If Step3 does not work on the symptom, reset the setting value of Bit 4 changed in Step3 to '0', and then change the setting value to '1' in service mode >
FAX > Sssw > SW03 > Bit 5. This will change the transmission mode to international transmission (2).
5. If Step 4 does not work on the symptom, change the setting value to '1' in service mode > FAX > Sssw > SW03 > Bit 6. This will change the transmission
mode to international transmission (3).
15.3.5.1.2 FAX message cannot be transmitted with Line-2: 2 port PCB of Super G3 FAX Multi-Line FAX Board-J1 has poor contact

Description
Since the board-to-board connector connecting the 2 port PCB [1] to the FAX PCB [2] was loosened [A], it had poor contact, and therefore FAX messages
could not be transmitted with Line-2.
