Field Remedy
When abnormal noise (noise due to gear teeth meshing failure) occurs during stream reading, check to see if the feeder cover shaft [A] is at an angle; if so,
replace the feeder cover with a new one.

[ Case in the field ]
Description
In the field, abnormal noise like a gear engagement failure sound occurred around the gear of the fixing drive assembly during rotation of the fixing assembly.
When the same symptom occurs, perform the following field remedy.
Field Remedy
1. In service mode > COPIER > Function > PART-CHK, enter '3' and press OK.
2. Detach the fixing assembly, and then rotate the gear of the fixing drive assembly manually to check if the noise in question occurs.
3. If noise in question occurred, refit the fixing motor (M3).
15.3.3.3.7 Abnormal noise occurs from left side of this machine upon startup: Waste toner feeding motor causes rotation trouble

Description
Since abnormal noise occurred from the left side of this machine upon startup, the waste toner feeding motor was replaced with a new one for solution.
Field Remedy
1. In service mode > COPIER > Function > PART-CHK > MTR, enter the number of a motor that is installed in the area where the abnormal noise is
occurring. In the above-mentioned field case, the noise in question came from the left side of this machine, and therefore, '12' (the number of the waste toner
feeding motor) was entered, and then [MTR-ON] was selected, followed by pressing [OK].
2. Replace the motor that causes the abnormal noise, and then check if the level of noise is improved.
15.3.3.4 User Warning Message

displayed in IE browser

Description
When trying to connect the Remote UI with the same IP address in use after replacing this machine, the message "(!) A error has occurred" was displayed
and the connection ended in failure.
Field Remedy
Perform the following procedure (cache clear) in the IE browser: [Tools > Internet Options > General >Temporary Internet Files > Delete files].
Cause
When a file is stored in cache, the browser uses the file for obtaining the connection instead of sending a request to this machine. In case of a model change,
the content of the file may have been changed even though the name of the file is same as the one for the previous model. However, the machine neither
notice this content change nor receive expected parameters, consequently causing the message.
15.3.3.4.2 Message "Insert drum cartridge" persists: DC Controller PCB has poor contact
