Connecting and Turning On the Printer

Connecting the Power Cord

Plug the power cord securely into a power outlet.

• Use only the standard power supply voltage and frequency for the printer.

Using an incorrect voltage and frequency could cause fire or electric
shock. The correct power supply voltage and frequency is:

USA/Canada

AC 120V, 60Hz

• The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be

easily accessible.

• Move the printer only when the power cord is removed from the power

outlet.

• Do not connect the printer to an outlet that is shared by other appliances.

If the power outlet is shared with other appliances such as an air
conditioner, photo copier or fluorescent lamp, the electrical noise
generated by the appliance could cause printer malfunctions. Also,
avoid placing electrical appliances of this type close to the printer.
