Using the Macintosh Printer Driver

Printer Maintenance

■  

Turning the Printer On and Off

The Auto Power On/Off capability of the printer driver allows you to turn the printer off when 
no data is sent to the printer for a certain period of time and turn the printer back on again 
when data is sent to the printer.

Turning the printer on and off

Open the Page Setup dialog box.

Normally, select Page Setup from the File menu.

Click the 

Utilities

 button.

3

Click Auto Power Setting, and then select the auto power settings Auto 
Power On and Auto Power Off, as necessary. Click the 

Send

 button.
