Swing open the Film Scanner’s film guide and insert the IX240 Film Viewer into
the cavity. Make sure that the IX240 Film Viewer’s crank handle is folded over
flush with the surface of the winder.
To insert the IX240 Film Viewer, hold it with the arrow on its top surface pointing toward the Film Scan-
ner. Insert it to the back of the Film Scanner ensuring that you keep it level during the operation.
CAUTION:
• The IX240 Film Viewer will not enter the Film Scanner if the crank handle is protruding. Check the
crank to ensure that it is completely folded over before attempting to insert the IX240 Film Viewer into
the Film Scanner.
• When removing the IX240 Film Viewer from the Film Scanner, take care to pull it straight out.
Removing Film Cartridges from the IX240 Film Viewer
Use the following procedures to remove film cartridges from the IX240 Film Viewer.
(1) Use the winder to wind the film in a clockwise direction until the film is completely rewound.
The film indicator will show orange.
(2) Align the indicator marks on the bottom of the IX240 Film Viewer using the winder.
(3) Open the film cartridge chamber lid by pushing the open lever to the Open position. The cartridge
may now be removed.
