Network Functions
Along with this list, refer also to the instruction manuals of the access point or other external devices you are
using.
Recording was stopped due to insufficient write speed of the memory card
- The write s peed of the S D card wa s too s low s o recording wa s s topped. To record MP4 clip s , replace the S D card with
one rated S D S peed Cla ss 6 or 10, or UH S S peed Cla ss U1 or U3. To record XF-AVC clip s , replace the S D card with
one rated S D S peed Cla ss 10 or UH S S peed Cla ss U1 or U3.
- To record 4K clip s with a re s olution of 3840x2160 and to u s e s low & fa s t motion recording, u s e S D card s rated UH S
S peed Cla ss U3.
- After repeatedly recording, deleting and editing clip s (fragmented memory), it will ta k e longer to write data on the S D
card and recording may s top. S ave your recording s (
A
123) and initialize the card (
A
34).
Some clips could not be deleted
- Clip s that were protected/edited with other device s and then tran s ferred to an S D card connected to the computer
cannot be deleted with thi s camcorder.
Some clips require data recovery
- The power may have been s uddenly turned off or the card may have been removed while the camcorder wa s
recording. A s a re s ult, one or more XF-AVC clip s contain corrupted data. You can try to recover the clip s (
A
116).
Task in progress. Do not disconnect the power source.
- The camcorder i s updating the S D card. Wait until the operation end s and do not di s connect the AC adapter or
remove the battery pac k .
This photo cannot be displayed
- You may not be able to di s play photo s ta k en with other device s or image file s created or edited on a computer and
then tran s ferred to an S D card connected to the computer.
Too many photos and MP4 movies. Disconnect the USB cable.
- The S D card contain s too many MP4 clip s and photo s . Di s connect the U S B cable and u s e a card reader to tran s fer the
recording s from the S D card. Alternatively, delete MP4 clip s and photo s until the S D card contain s a combined total of
2,500 (Window s )/1,000 (macO S ) or fewer recording s and then connect the U S B cable again.
- If a dialog box appeared on the computer s creen, clo s e it. Di s connect the U S B cable, and re s tore the connection after
a s hort while.
Unable to recognize the data
- The camcorder cannot recognize data that wa s recorded u s ing a video configuration that i s not s upported (PAL or
S ECAM).
Unable to recover data
- Could not recover a corrupted file. S ave your recording s (
A
123) and initialize the S D card (
A
34).
- The camcorder may not be able to recover clip s when there i s not enough s pace on the S D card. Delete s ome clip s
(
A
113) to free s ome s pace.
A User is already accessing the server. Try again later.
- Thi s me ss age appear s on the s creen of the connected device. Another device connected to the networ k i s already
operating the camcorder. To u s e thi s device, fir s t end the connection on the device acce ss ing the camcorder and then
touch Retry.
An error occurred during FTP communication. File transfer was not completed.
- An error occurred while tran s ferring file s to the FTP s erver. Turn the camcorder and the FTP s erver off and then on
again and try again the FTP tran s fer (

Cannot log in to FTP server.
- Chec k the u s er name and pa ss word information in the FTP s erver s etting s (
A
145).
Cannot transfer files to FTP server.
- Chec k that there i s enough available s pace in the data s torage device (hard di sk , etc.) that contain s the de s tination
folder on the FTP s erver.
IP address conflict
- Another device on the s ame networ k ha s the s ame IP addre ss a ss igned to the camcorder. Change the IP addre ss of
the conflicting device or the camcorder.
LAN cable not connected.
- You attempted to connect to a wired networ k but the Ethernet cable i s not connected. Chec k that the Ethernet cable i s
correctly connected to the camcorder' s (Ethernet) terminal and to the LAN/Ethernet port on the networ k device.
Multiple access points detected. Try the operation again.
- There are multiple acce ss point s s ending out a WP S s ignal at the s ame time. Try the operation again later or perform
s etup u s ing the [WP S : PIN Code] or [ S earch for Acce ss Point s ] option (
