Slide the paper guides so that they fit to both sides of the paper stack.

IMPORTANT

•

Be sure to align the paper guides with the width of the paper. If the guides are too loose or too tight, it may result in 
misfeeds or paper jams.

•

Do not touch the paper in the multi-purpose tray or pull it out while printing. It may result in a faulty operation.

Loading Envelopes in the Multi-Purpose Tray

Use the multi-purpose tray when you want to copy or print envelopes.

IMPORTANT

The recommended envelopes are COM10, MONARCH, DL, and ISO-C5. Using other envelopes may affect the 
quality of the printout.

Open the multi-purpose tray and pull out the auxiliary tray.

For opening the multi-purpose tray, see “Opening the Multi-Purpose Tray,” on p. 2-8.
