Cleaning the Original Scanning Area

If originals are scanned using the feeder, there may be some cases in which the 
original cannot be scanned properly, or streaks appear on the output. In this case, 
clean the original scanning area of the feeder by following the directions displayed 
in Original Scanning Area Cleaning Method in Adjustment/Cleaning (from the 
Additional Functions screen).

Lift the feeder.

Clean the original scanning area (thin glass strip) with a well 
wrung-out damp cloth. Then, wipe the area with a soft, dry 
cloth.
