8.4 CS240DM and Device Configuration
Utility
Device Configuration Utility (DevConfig) is bundled in Campbell Scientific’s data logger support
software and can also be acquired, at no cost, from

DevConfig can be used to change the CS240DM settings, view stored values, and update the
CS240DM operating system (OS). It also provides CS240DM wiring information.
To use DevConfig, the CS240DM must be connected to a computer and 12 VDC power source. A
USB-to-RS-485 adapter is required to connect the CS240DM to the computer. The following is
the procedure for connecting to DevConfig:
1. Open DevConfig.
2. Under Device Type, click CS240DM.
