Model WG204498AJ

Welder, Helmet and
Auto-Darkening
Welding Lens

BUILT TO LAST

This kit includes the WG2044 MIG /
Fluxcore welder, a full welding
helmet and an auto-darkening
welding lens for the helmet. The
welding lens included in this
promotional kit will automatically
darken from its light state to its dark
state when an arc is struck in front
of the sensor. It provides UV
(ultraviolet) and IR (infrared)
protection while in either state,
equivalent to the required UV/IR
requirements in ANSI Z87.1 for
shade 10 lenses. While in the light
state, it provides visible light
protection equivalent to the
requirements in ANSI Z87.1 for
shade 3 lenses. While in the dark
state, it provides visible light
protection equivalent to the
requirements in ANSI Z87.1 for
shade 10 lenses. This lens must be
installed in a welding helmet before
use. This lens is not suitable for
laser, oxygen acetylene and some
low amperage welding applications.

Note: The hand shield and lens
mentioned in the manual for the
welder have not been included,
because of the addition of a
welding helmet and auto-darkening
lens.

Please read and follow all safety
information in the manual provided
with the welder in this promotional
kit.

Follow the instructions for
“Welding Helmet Assembly” in the
manual for the welder included in
this promotional kit, with the
following exceptions:

1. Use this auto-darkening lens in
place of the shade 10 lens included
with the helmet. Make sure the
auto-darkening lens is positioned so
the solar panel(s) and sensor(s) are
exposed to the welding arc when in
use. Be sure to use the clear cover
lenses on both sides of the auto-
darkening lens. They protect the
lens from damage. Damage from
welding spatter, scratching or
impact will void the warranty on
the lens.

2. The lens retainer in the helmet
has been modified. It must now be
pried up and down instead of right
and left to remove or insert.
