Routine maintenance
WARNING!
•
Before carrying out any routine maintenance operation, put the ON/OFF button (7) in ‘off’ position and remove
the battery (14) from the tool.
•
All the maintenance operations which are not mentioned in this manual must be carried out at an Authorized
Service Point.
Routine maintenance operations can be carried out by the operators.
WARNING!
Before any maintenance operation, switch off the tool and disconnect the battery (14).
6.1.1 Tool cleaning and maintenance
•
Cleaning and maintenance must be carried out regularly to ensure the tool long-lasting and safe operation.
•
Do not spray the tool with water or immerge it, as it would get damaged.
•
Keep the tool clean by means of a cloth or a brush or compressed air. Do not use any cleansing stuff, as they could
damage the tool permanently.
•
At the end of each reel, clean the tie supply line with tweezers and a brush or compressed air.
•
Every 8 hours of work remove any residual tie pieces from the supply line. Check whether pins, circlips, springs and all
moving components are clean. Remove any foreign material.
•
Keep the knife and all joints lubricated with oil.
•
Proper maintenance of the tool guarantees its long lifespan.
Carry out the following operations for the tie supply system maintenance:
•
Switch off the tool by means of the ON/OFF button (7) and remove the battery (14) by pressing the releasing buttons
(15).
•
Release the front cover (3) and remove it in the indicated direction, then remove the tie pressing lever (1)
•
Remove any residual tie piece from the supply line by using tweezers.
•
Remove any foreign material from the tying wheel (5) by means of a brush.
•
Remove any foreign material from the tie supply line and from the moving parts by means of a brush.
•
At the end of the cleaning operations add lubricating oil to all moving parts.
