Care And Cleaning Of The Refrigerator
Care should be taken in moving your refrigerator away
from the wall. All types of floor coverings can be
damaged, particularly cushioned coverings and those
with embossed surfaces. Pull the refrigerator straight out
and return it to position by pushing it straight in. Moving
your refrigerator in a side direction may result in
damage to your floor covering or refrigerator.
For most efficient operation, you need to keep the area
under the refrigerator clear. Remove the base grill and
either sweep away or vacuum up dust that is readily
accessible. For best results, use a brush specially
designed for this purpose. It is available at most
appliance parts stores. This easy cleaning operation
should be done at least twice a year.

Although this appliance functions safely and
automatically when operated in accordance with this
guide, we recommend that you do not leave this or any
appliance connected to electrical or water supply and
operating while unattended for any extended period of
time.
For extended vacations, disconnect power cord from wall
receptacle, remove food and clean interior with a baking
soda solution using 15 ml of soda per each litre of water.
Wipe dry. To prevent formation of odour, place an open
box of baking soda in refrigerator and leave doors open.
If you leave for shorter absences, remove perishable foods
and leave control dials at normal setting. If, however,
room temperature is expected to go below 13° C (55°F),
turn control dials to OFF, remove food, clean interior,
leave doors open and remove plug from wall receptacle.
If your refrigerator is equipped with an icemaker, flip
manual switch to OFF position and shut off water supply
to icemaker. (Ask installer to point out location of shut-
off valve at time of installation).
