Installing a PTP-SYNC unit

Page 5-28

Use a grounding cable to connect the ground stud of the PTP-SYNC to the master ground bar of
the building, or to the rack ground bar.

Powering up the PTP-SYNC installation

Use this procedure to power up the PTP-SYNC installation.

Caution
Ensure that all cables are connected to the correct interfaces of the PTP SYNC unit and
the GPS receiver (if used). Ensure that the installation is correctly grounded Failure to
do so may result in damage to the equipment.

Connect the power supply to the PSU.

2

Within 90 seconds, the PTP-SYNC STATUS LED should blink once every second to show that
satellite lock has been achieved.
