PTP 450 Configuration and User Guide
Task 6: Configuring radio parameters
3-60
pmp-0815 (August 2015)
Attribute
Meaning
External Gain
This value represents the amount of gain added externally to
the radio in the form of a LENS or Dish. With a CSM, this value
represents the gain of the external antenna that the radio is
being connected to since there is no internal gain for that radio
type.
The DISH/LENS is not supported on the 2.4 or 3.5 product at
this time.
Module Type
Recommended
Setting
OFDM integrated antenna with
LENS
(5GHz
BHS
only)
5
OFDM Integrated antenna with
CLIP
(5GHz
BHS
only)
8
OFDM integrated antenna with
reflector dish
14 (5 GHz), 12 (2.4
GHz), 11 (3 GHz)
OFDM Connectorized BHS (CBHS)
with an external antenna
This value must
correspond to the
published gain of the
external antenna being
used to ensure the
radio meets the
regulatory
requirements in the
region that it is being
deployed in.
Receive Quality
Debug
To aid in link performance monitoring, the BHM and BHS now
report the number of fragments received per modulation (i.e.
QPSK, 16-QAM, 64-QAM) and per channel (polarization).
Due to CPU load, this will slightly degrade packet per
second processing.
Custom Frequencies tab of BHS
The BHS has an additional tab called
Custom Frequencies
Ensure a customer frequency exists before using SNMP to set the radio to a custom
frequency.
