Management Connection for 1+1 HSB
Configurations
In HSB protection configurations, two Y-splitter cables and a special signaling cable must be used
to connect the management ports (MGT/PROT) of the two PTP 820S units and provide
management access to each unit.
The Protection signaling cables are available pre-assembled from Cambium in various lengths, but
users can also prepare them in the field.
The following sections explain how to prepare and connect these cables.
Preparing a Protection Signaling Cable
The Protection signaling cables require the following pinouts.
