This section describes factors to be considered when choosing sites for PMP or PTP radios, power
supplies, CMM4 (if applicable) and UGPS (if applicable).

When selecting a site for the ODU, consider the following factors:

Height and location to ensure that people are kept away from the antenna.
l
Height and location to achieve the best radio path.
l
Indoor location where the power supply LED indicators will be visible, so the drop cable length will
not exceed the maximum recommended length; see Power supply site selection .
l
Ability to meet the requirements specified in Grounding and lightning protection.
l
Aesthetics and planning permission issues.
