INTRODUCTION
Ultraviolet or UV light is the part of the electromagnetic spectrum from about 10nm to 400nm, that contains
frequencies just higher than visible light. It is so-named because the spectrum consists of electromagnetic waves with
frequencies higher than those that humans identify as the colour violet.
These frequencies are invisible to humans, but visible to a numberof insects and birds.
UV light can be divided into various wavelength bands withdiffering characteristics:
UV-A (400-315nm): 'Long wave' UV. Also know as 'black light' and used for skin treatments.
UV-B (315 280nm) 'Medium wave' UV. which can cause sunburn if the skin is exposed to it for too long.

and flea eggs, stopping their reproductive capabilities and finally killing them.
