Install and test the fan tray
Installing a fan tray into a Calix C7 shelf in the front compartment of the cabinet provides
cooling for the Calix C7 shelf.
The front panel of the fan tray also shows the results of a power test at start-up, and
provides status displays and interfaces for testing.
Install and test the fan tray
Step Action
1.
Check that main power to the cabinet and AC load center breakers are ON.
2.
Verify that the optional Metallic Services Protection modules have been
installed, if ordered, prior to installing the fan tray.
3.
Remove the fan tray from its packaging.
4.
Hold the fan tray from beneath with one hand so that you are looking at the
display panel, and with the other hand pull the fan tray handle up to disengage
the locking mechanism.
5.
Gently slide the fan tray into the slot beneath the Calix C7 plug-in card shelf.
6.
Push the handle down to lock the fan tray into position. (Note: In the locked
position, the handle should be flush with the bottom lip of the shelf.)
7.
Check that the fan tray fans are running and that the System Alarm Status
display reads:
INPUT VOLTAGE OK
8.
At the AC Load center, set the Rectifier (A), Rectifier (B), and Main breakers
to OFF.
