daren är avsedd för laddningsbara blybatterier med större kapacitet än
24Ah, och godkänd för fast montering i motorfordon med 12 V elsystem
och negativ jord (minus till gods).
Vid laddning behöver man varken skruva av batteriets cellproppar eller
demontera batterikablarna. Laddaren är dimensionerad för att ladda vid
låga temperaturer. Batteritillverkarens anvisningar om skötsel, efter
fyllning
av destillerat vatten, rengöring o dyl måste efterföljas.
OBS! Kontrollera batteriets syranivå regelbundet.
Anslutning till 230 V sker med Calix plug-in kablar, skar
vkablar och
grenuttag. Har fordonet redan utrustats med Calix bilvärmesystem kan
komplettering med skarvkabel för inkoppling av batteriladdaren behövas.
Vid montering av enbart batteriladdare, ansluts laddaren med Calix MK
och MS kablar. För vidare infor

Laddaren får endast anlutas till jordat uttag. För tidsstyrning av motor- och
/ eller kupévärmare används Calix timer
. Reläkontakten kopplas in efter
laddaren se översiktsbild.
BC 1207 S
är försedd med en 2m lång enkelledare som ger en 12V signal-
ström, vilken är avsedd att kunna användas för inkoppling av startspärrs
-
funktion. Startspärrsfunktionen förhindrar att fordonet kan star
tas när Calix
anslutningskabel är elektriskt ansluten.
Montering
Anslut RÖD kabel till batteriets PLUS-pol (+) och SVAR
T kabel till bilens
chassi, därefter nätkabeln.
Laddaren monteras på ett sådant sätt att omgivningstemperaturen inte
blir för hög. Ej nära t.ex. turboaggregat, grenrör etc. Max. temperatur
+105°C (+60°C under laddning) får ej överstigas.
Vid monteringen använd skruv och låsbrickor i alla infästningshål, tänk på
att laddaren skall klara vibrationer och stötar under många år i fordonet.
Funktion
Gul lysdiod är tänd tills batteriet är fullt uppladdat. Om laddaren ansluts
till ett fulladdat batteri kommer laddaren att gå över till efterladdning
under ca 1 timma, som är den kortaste laddningstiden
Grön lysdiod tänds då batteriet är klart att användas. Underhållsladdning
sker så länge batteriet är anslutet.
Omstart av laddaren kan ske genom att br
yta och sluta nätanslutningen.
Laddningstiden varierar beroende på batterityp och urladdningsgrad.
Felsökning
Gul blinkande lysdiod: Betyder att laddaren inte kan känna något anslutet
batteri, kontrollera kablar och förbindelser till batteriet.
Gul och grön lysdiod blinkande: Laddspänningen understiger 1,4V/cell.
Gul och grön lysdiod blinkar växelvis: För hög intern temperatur (på laddaren).
Grön lysdiod blinkar: Hög batterispänning, eller intern laddar
fel.

The charger is intended for rechargeable lead batteries with greater
capacity than 24 Ah and approved for fixed mounting in motor vehicles
with 12 V electrical systems and negative ground (minus to chassis).
When charging there is no need to remove the battery’s cell caps or
disconnect the battery cables. The charger is dimensioned to charge at low
temperatures. The battery manufacturer's instructions on care, subsequent
topping up with distilled water, cleaning, etc., must be followed.
NOTE! Check the battery’s electrolyte level at regular intervals!
Connection to 230 V takes place with Calix plug-in cables, extension cables
and branching connector. If the vehicle has already been equipped with
Calix car heating system, supplementary extension cable may be needed
for connection of the battery charger. When installing only the battery
charger, the charger is attached with Calix MK and MS cables. more
information, see the Calix handbook.
The charger may only be attached to a grounded outlet. Calix timer (start
clock for car installation and relay contact) is used for time-control of
engine heater and/or car heater. The relay contact is connected after the
charger, see overview figure.
BC 1207 S
is equipped with a 2m single conductor that does give a 12V
signal that is intended to be used for connection to a immobiliser function.
This immobiliser function will prevent the possibility to start the vehicle as
long as the Calix main supply cable is electrically connected.
Installing
Connect RED cable to battery PLUS (+) and BLACK cable to the car's
chassis, then the mains cable. The charger is mounted in such a way that
the surrounding temperature does not become too high. Not close to,
e.g., turbocharger, manifold, etc. Max. tempe105°C may not be
exceeded. When installing, always use all attachment holes, remember that
the charger has to handle vibrations and bumps for many years in the car.
Function
The charging starts after a few seconds and the status indicator, Yellow LED, is lit up.
Yellow LED remains on until the battery is fully charged. If the charger
is connected to a fully charged battery the charger will be charging for
1 hour. This is the minimum charging time. During this phase the green
led will be illuminated. When only green LED is on the charger is kept in
maintenance charger and ready to be used.
Maintenance charging will continue as long as the battery is connected.
The charger will be reset as soon as the charger is switched off and on, or
if the battery is disconnected .
Trouble shooting
Yellow flashing LED: may mean that the battery is not properly connected.
Check cables, connection terminals, plugs and other connections to the
battery. Measure the voltage at the battery and at the charger.
Yellow and Green simultaneus flashing: The charging voltage is low <1,4V/cell
