Macintosh users
1.
Install the UM-3G driver as described in “Installing the Driver” (p. 19).
* Even after the driver installation has been completed, do not connect the UM-3G to the
computer yet.

If you're also using an UM-3EX, install the UM-3EX driver using the same procedure as
in step 1.
The UM-3EX driver is provided on the included “UM-2G/UM-3G CD-ROM.”

* Even after the driver installation has been completed, do not connect the UM-3EX to the
computer yet.
3.
Set the [MODE] switch and [UNIT] switch of the UM-3G (or UM-3EX).
* Even if you’re using the UM-3G in combination with a UM-3EX, you must use the UM-3G as the
first unit connected to the computer. You can’t use the UM-3EX as the first unit.
4.
Connect the second UM-3G (or UM-3EX) to the upper of the first UM-3G unit’s two
UM-3G/UM-3EX connectors.
5.
Connect the third UM-3G (or UM-3EX) to the lower of the first UM-3G unit’s two UM-
3G/UM-3EX connectors.
6.
Connect the first UM-3G unit to the computer.
This completes driver installation.
As described in “MIDI Device Settings” (p. 20), make the settings for MIDI input/output for all
the UM-3G (and UM-3EX) units you’ve connected.
