Basic operation
This chapter explains various ways to connect the UA-1G for different purposes.
These various purposes may require different software.
* Before connecting the UA-1G to other equipment, you must turn the UA-1G’s [PHONES
VOLUME] dial and the volume controls of all devices to which the UA-1G is connected to
their minimum settings to prevent malfunction and/or speaker damage.
By connecting headphones or monitor speakers as shown in the illustration, you can listen to
the sound played back by the software you’re using.

Note
When you connect the UA-1G to your computer, you will no longer hear sound from your
computer’s speakers.
• Connect external monitor speakers to the UA-1G. Alternatively, connect headphones to the
UA-1G.
• Disconnect the UA-1G from your computer when you want to play sound from your
computer’s speakers.
