3. Return the seat to its original
position.
CAUTION
Never allow passengers to use a
third row seating position while
the second row seat is folded
forward or folded and tumbled.
People in the vehicle could be
injured.
Make sure that the seat, when
returned to its original position,
is securely locked in place.
4. Push and pull on the seatback
to check that it is locked into
place.
CAUTION
If the seatback isn't locked, it
could move forward in a
sudden stop or crash. That
could cause injury to the person
sitting there. Always push and
pull on the seatback to be sure
it is locked.
5. Check to be sure that the
safety belts are properly
routed and are not twisted.
CAUTION
A safety belt that is twisted or
improperly attached or routed
won't provide the protection
needed in a crash. After raising
a rear seatback, always make
sure that the safety belts are
not twisted and that they are
properly attached and routed.
Third Row Seat
Your vehicle is equipped with a
third row seat.
The rear seatback can be folded
down. The seat can also be folded
forward or removed to provide
extra storage space.
For easier access to the third row
seat, see "Easy Entry/Exit Seat"
under "Second Row Seats" earlier
in this section.
