Luggage Carrier
CAUTION
If you try to carry something on
top of your vehicle that is
longer or wider than the
luggage carrier - like paneling,
plywood, a mattress, and so
forth - the wind can catch it as
you drive along. What you are
carrying could be violently torn
off, and this could cause you or
other drivers to have a collision,
and of course damage your
vehicle. Never carry something
longer or wider than your
luggage carrier on top of your
vehicle unless you are using a
GM-Certified accessory carrier.
The luggage carrier has side rails
and has moveable crossrails.
CAUTION
• Loading cargo that weighs
more than 90 kg on the lug-
gage carrier may damage the
vehicle.
• When large things are loaded
on the carrier, do not let them
hang over the rear or sides of
the vehicle.
• Load cargo so it rests evenly
between the crossrails, mak-
ing sure to fasten the cargo
securely.
Do not overload the vehicle.
See "Vehicle Loading" in Section 3.
A loaded luggage carrier changes
the center of gravity of the vehicle.
Avoid high speed driving, sudden
starts or stops, sharp turns or other
abrupt maneuvers. You could lose
control of the vehicle, damage the
vehicle and you or others may be
injured.
