These switches can be used to
program the device in the event
that the original hand-held
transmitter is lost.
See the following, later in this
section, for information:
• Fixed Code Transmitters
If no switches are present, the
device operates with a rolling
code.
A different signal is sent each time
the button is pressed.
See the following, later in this
section, for information:
• Rolling Code Transmitters
FIXED CODE TRANSMITTERS
Read through all of the following
programming procedure before
you begin customizing this
feature.
1. Examine the hand-held
transmitter to verify that the
device operates with a fixed
code. See "Determining the
Code Type" earlier in this
section.
- Note
If the hand-held transmitter
is lost, proceed with the next
step.
2. Check the motor head unit for
the device to verify if switches
exist on the unit.
3. Compare any existing
switches on the motor head
unit to those of the hand-held
transmitter.
If the total number of switches
or the switch settings on the
motor head unit are different
than those of the hand-held
transmitter, or if the original
transmitter is lost, use the
switches on the motor head
unit to program the device.
