The indicator light on the mirror
will turn off and the system will be
temporarily disabled.
The system will return to normal
operation once the condition no
longer exists.
The system may not turn off the
high beam headlights if any of the
following conditions exists:
• Oncoming vehicle headlights
are missing, damaged, dirty or
obstructed from view.
• Weather conditions or air-
borne particles prevent the
sensor from detecting oncom-
ing headlights.
• The vehicle’s windshield is dirty
or cracked, or the automatic
high beam control sensor is
obstructed.
• The vehicle load is causing the
sensor to point upwards.
• The vehicle is being driven on
winding or hilly roads.
If any of these conditions exist,
disable the automatic high beam
system.
If you press and hold
AUTO
for
more than 20 seconds, the indica-
tor light will flash three times to let
you know that the system is in
service mode.
If the light flashes, you will need to
reactivate this feature each time
you turn the ignition on.
See your dealer for additional assis-
tance if needed.
Make sure the light sensor is
cleaned periodically.
Use a soft cloth and glass cleaner
to clean the light sensor located on
the mirror.
Do not spray glass cleaner directly
onto the sensor.
