4.2. INSTALLATION
We recommend installing the stove with a clearance from any walls and/or furniture of at least 150mm to
allow effective cooling of the appliance and good heat distribution in the room. Fire-fighting safety
regulations lay down the distance from objects that are inflammable or heat sensitive (sofas, furniture,
wood cladding, etc.) as shown in
Picture 10 . In the case of highly inflammable objects (curtains, carpets,
etc.) the distance is increased to 1 meter.
If the floor is combustible material, it must be protected by non-flammable material (steel plate,
refractory material, marble …) see dimensions in
Picture 10 .

The stove must be installed on a floor that will withstand its weight (see
paragraph 9.4, page 91 ). If the
existing construction does not meet this requirement, appropriate measures must be taken (for example,
load-distributing plate).
4.3. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
IMPORTANT: THE APPLIANCE MUST BE INSTALLED
BY A SPECIALIZED FITTER.
The electrical connection is by cable with a plug suitable for the specific load and voltage of each model,
as shown in the technical data table (see
paragraph 9.4, page 91 ). The plug must always be accessible.
Take care that the cable does not come into contact with hot parts of the stove. Also make sure that the
electricity mains is efficiently earthed. If this is not so, bring up to legal standards. If the power lead is
damaged it must be replaced by a qualified electrician.
4.4. CONNECTION OF EXTERNAL THERMOSTAT
The stove operates with a thermostat probe located in the back (see Picture 15, page 90, Detail 10 –
Room Probe ). If required, stove can be connected to an external thermostat. Make sure it is not near
any heat sources. This operation must be performed by a specialized fitter.
4.5. VENTILATION
The stove is ventilated. The air moved by the fan keeps the stove at a lower temperature to avoid
excessive strain on the material of which it is made. If the fan breaks, it must be replaced (
Picture 15,
page 90, Detail 8 – Room Fan ).
