Operating Habits to Save Electricity
Ways to save electricity and extend the service life of the vehicle
It is simple and easy to save electricity. This is also helpful to extending the vehicle's
service life. The following are some main points for saving electricity and maintenance
& repair cost:
Keep the tyre pressure at a correct level. Insufficient tyre pressure will result in
wear of tyres and waste of electricity.
Do not load unnecessary weight onto the vehicle. Excessive weights will add the
load of powertrain, resulting in the consumption of a large amount of energy.
Accelerate the vehicle slowly and steadily. Avoid quick starting, abrupt
acceleration, and abrupt deceleration.
Avoid unnecessary stopping or braking of the vehicle. Keep driving the vehicle at
a constant speed. Drive according to traffic signal lights, or drive on a passage
way without traffic signal lights. Keep a proper driving distance with the vehicle
ahead to avoid emergency braking. This can also reduce the wear of brake.
Avoid driving in the area with heavy traffic or traffic congestion as far as possible.
Keep driving the vehicle at a proper speed on expressways. The higher the speed
is, the more the energy will be consumed. Energy consumption can be saved by
keeping driving the vehicle at a proper speed.
Keep correct alignment of the front wheels. Avoid causing collision with
kerbstones and drive slowly on bumpy roads. Misalignment of front wheels will not
only cause too fast wear of tyres, but also lead to addition of load and energy
consumption to the powertrain.
Keep clean of the vehicle chassis and make it free of mud, etc. This can not only
reduce the vehicle weight, but also prevent corrosion.
Adjust the vehicle and keep it in the best working state. Regular maintenance
must be carried out to keep a long service life of each part and reduce its
operation cost. Frequent maintenance should be carried out for the vehicle if it is
often driven under severe conditions.
Shallow charge and discharge should be adopted during charging (keep the
electric quantity of the electric vehicle within the range of 15% - 80%) to extend
the battery life.
The user may refer to the following main points of application to use this vehicle in a
better and more economical way:
Avoid abrupt acceleration and deceleration operations and keep the vehicle
running at a constant speed as far as possible, and rationally utilize the energy.
Observe the power output by controlling the accelerator pedal during driving.
Control the power output to be 10 kW approximately to the greatest extent.
Reference can be made to the transient power value displayed on the instrument.
