6.1
Securing the tractor against unintended start-up and rolling away
The accessory equipment including any of its optional equipment is
mounted to a tractor and powered by the tractor's hydraulic system. It
is, therefore, necessary to secure the tractor against inadvertent start-
up and rolling away before any work is performed on the mounted
accessory equipment or any of its optional equipment.
Proceed as follows for this purpose:
1. Move all actuators of the control panel to the neutral position.
2. Switch off the tractor, pull the key from the ignition and store it on
your person to prevent inadvertent start-up.
3. Engage the tractor's parking brake and secure the tractor against
rolling away using chocks if necessary.
6.2
Checking the operation of the accessory equipment
Check if the accessory equipment is fully operational before putting
the accessory equipment into operation for the first time and every
time before starting to work:
1. Hitch the accessory equipment to the tractor.
2. Make sure the accessory equipment is lubricated in accordance
with the lubrication chart, see chapter "Lubricating", starting on
the page 68.
4. Make sure that no one is inside the work area, start the tractor
and check all functions of the accessory equipment before
cutting the first silage block:
4.1 Raise / lower cutting bar.
4.2 Extend / retract hydraulic push-off system (option).
4.3 Move hydraulic side shift to the left / right before returning it
to the center position (option).
