Care and Cleaning
This chapter shall make the system user familiar with the proper care and cleaning of the door system.
When caring for and cleaning the door system, the safety information and warnings in chapters 2 Safety and
3 Other dangers must absolutely be followed!
8.1
Care and cleaning of the door system

Fibreglass, acrylic glass
Never use aggressive organic solvents for
cleaning!
Only wash dirty fibreglass or acrylic glass with
water, customarily available aqueous (not
abrasive) household cleaning products or with
a suitable acrylic glass cleaner, e.g. with a
special cleaner for PLEXIGLAS
®
.
Always apply the suitable cleaner with a soft
cellulose sponge or with a chamois and wipe
off with a soft cloth.
Fibreglass is resistant to diluted acids and
bases, but it may never be rubbed while dry!
Never rub acrylic glass when it is dry.
When dirty
Glass
Only use a soft cellulose sponge or a chamois
for cleaning.
Wash dirty windows made of glass with water
and customarily available water-based glass
cleaners.
When dirty

Aluminium profiles
Do not use any abrasive cleaners!
Wash aluminium profiles with water and
customarily available aluminium cleaners.
Painted aluminium parts: Note the special care
instructions.

Painted and coated

Do not use any abrasive cleaners!
Only use a soft sponge or a very soft brush.
Wash the painted surface with water and
customarily available mild paint cleaners.

8.2
Measures in the wintertime
1.
In the wintertime when there is frost, make sure that the seal on the bottom of the lower door panel
does not freeze to the ground.
2.
Carefully separate the ground seal by hand if necessary, prior to operation.
3.
If needed, use salt to separate it.
