Using the
On-call duty
menu item, you are able to activate the HFCK’s
internal standby switch. When activated for the first time, this is set at
5 minutes. It can be changed to 10 or 15 minutes, however.
On-call duty is useful if you stay in your vehicle after reaching your
destination or switch the engine off when waiting at level crossing, for
instance. The hands-free car kit remains active for a set period of time,
and you can still conduct telephone conversations via the HFCK without
having to look for your mobile phone. In the event of no active phone
call, the HFCK will then switch off automatically after the set time has
elapsed.

In this menu point you can change the drive mode, activate the speed
control, specify the units of measurement for the GPS calculation and
also activate the warning for hazard zones (if installed).
After the HFCK has been started you must specify the
drive mode
.
In order to change this, however, you do not need to re-start the motor
together with the HFCK. If, for example, you have travelled the route to
work via a commuter journey and would like to start a business trip
from your place of work, you can make this change in this menu point.
When the drive mode is changed, a new entry is automatically made in
the log and the data is stored accordingly.
By activating the menu point
speed control
you switch on the display
of a digital speedometer and a warning function for excessive speed.
The digital speedometer is permanently displayed to you in the main
menu and during an active telephone conversation, as long as you drive
faster than 10 km/h / mph and make no further inputs. When you end
e.g. the telephone conversation, the HFCK jumps back into the main
menu. After five seconds, the digital speedometer is then shown again
automatically.
