Registration of a gateway via Logix Designer
The gateway ME43 must be registered in the Logix Designer database:
→
Ensure that the EDS file and the ICO file
are in the same folder
(Do not change the name of the ICO
file
as it is referenced in the EDS file with
this name!)
→
Start the “Logix Designer”
→
Go to the “Tools” tab
→
Select “EDS Hardware Installation Tool”
→
A new window opens as shown in the
figure on the right
→
Select “Register an EDS file(s)” option and
click the “Next” button
→
A new window opens as shown in the
figure on the right
→
Select “Register a single file” option
→
Browse your computer for the appro
-
priate EDS file:
“Gateway_EIP_8681_vXX_
YYMMDD_63Dev.eds”
→
Click the “Next” button (twice)
→
A new window opens: “Change Graphic
Image”
→
If you want to change the icon graphic, click
the “Change icon ...” button and select
a graphic
→
Click the “Next” button (twice)
→
Then click the “Finish” button
The gateway ME43 is now
registered in the
Logix Designer database.
