When the position feedback is from S4 (external initiator), note whether the external initiator is an “Opener” (NC
contact) or a “Closer” (NO contact). The position feedback signal “0” always means “S4 not active”, the “1” means
“S4 active”.
The factory setting of S4IN (NO - normally open) can be easily changed using the Bürkert Communicator Type
8920, but can be also overwritten with the help of the data from the parameter list - see “6.19.4 Access to further
parameters (cyclic and acyclic)”.
