Remove the decalcification solution from the instrument. See Chapter 12.4
"Removing water from the steam generator", page 98
u
Do steps (5) thru (10) again.
u
Install the H₂O supply for steam generation.
u
Set the On/Off master switch to On.
u
Press the
[READY]
button on the function bar.
u
Wait until the pumps stop working.
u
Set the On/Off master switch to Off.
u
u
Do steps (11) thru (16) five times.
10.16 Replacing the splash protector
NOTE
Installing is done in reverse sequence.

Remove the protection shield. See
Chapter 10.18 "Attaching and removing the
protection shield", page 89
u
Loosen the cap nut at the splash protector.
u
Open the splash protector nut.
u
Remove the splash protector.
u
Remove the steam connection.
u
Remove the NaOH/acid connection (according
to the instrument configuration).
