IV. Installation

4.6.3.3 Checking & setting titrant parameters

When the titrant bottles have been installed, the titrant

parameters have to be entered manually.

Information

All screens and menus are described under chapter 5.4
"Overview of Smart display Mütek™ PCD-05 Smart/
Light", page 32.

Procedure

Connect a Wi-Fi device (smartphone, tablet, or laptop)

to the PCD-05 Smart as described in chapter 5.5

"Connect a mobile device to PCD-05 Smart", page 34.
Make all titrant related settings in the "Titrator" tab:
• Content: maximum 7-letter name
• Type: anionic, cationic, acid or alkaline
• Best before: use-by-date
• Normality: any from 0,0001 - 0,01
• Factor: correction factor, default =1,000
• Batch: number from Titrant bottle
• Molarity: any from 0,001 - 1
Press "Save" to confirm your entry.
Press "Cancel" to cancel the entry, no changes will be

stored.

Rinsing the dosing tubes

Hint

Rinse the dosing tubes in order to assure that they are

bubble-free, before starting the measurement.

Procedure with Smart display

• Turn on the Mütek™ PCD-05 Smart
• After initialization press "Rinse"
• Both tubes will be rinsed with 10 ml
• After 10 ml it will stop automatically or it can be

stopped anytime in between by pressing "Home".

Procedure with Wi-Fi device

Connect a Wi-Fi device (smartphone, tablet, or laptop)

to the PCD-05 Smart as described in chapter 5.5

"Connect a mobile device to PCD-05 Smart", page 34.
• Enter a rinsing volume in the tab "Titrator", start rin-

sing either for pump +, -, or both.

Information

In order to return the rinsing amount back to the titrant
bottle, insert the dosing tube into the RINSE insert of
the Mütek™ PCD-05 Travel titrator module.

Hint

Assure that the correct rinsing opening is used. Other-

wise the titrant solution is contaminated and has to be

disposed!
