4. Disassembly
1. Remove solenoid valve coil from solenoid valve.
2. Remove solenoid valve from pump body.
3. Remove coupling half from input shaft.
4. Remove relief valve
caps, adjusting screws,
springs, and balls from upper and lower pump
bodies.
5. Scribe match marks on side of pump bodies to
assure proper alignment during reassembly.
6. Remove eight bolts that hold pump housings
together.
7. Separate end body from intermediate body.
8. Remove lower pump gears and pins (keys) from
shafts.
9. Remove intermediate body from front housing.
The driven shaft and gear may come out with
intermediate body.
10. Remove retaining ring, drive gear, woodruff key,
and second retaining ring from drive shaft.
11. Remove drive shaft from front housing by pulling it
out the front side of the housing.
12. Remove seal from front housing.
13. Clean all pump parts in safety solvent and dry with
compressed air.
NOTE! CLEANLINESS! Perform procedures in a clean
environment. Make sure all parts are cleaned
before disassembly and kept clean during
assembly.
Be extremely careful when working with
solvent. Even a small explosion or fire
could cause injury or death.
