Replacing the lenses
Review
Always replace the lenses in the case of repair work or after the optical
waveguide has been replaced.
Danger of explosion!
Do not loosen or remove the lens system when
switched on. Non-observance will result in danger of explosion caused
by the high performance (ignition source).
Required aids
Hexagon wrench width across flats 13 mm and width across flats 17 mm,
Allen key (width across flats 2.5 mm).
Preparatory work:
•
Switch the register controller off and secure against
switching on again.
•
Undo the locking screw and remove the sensing head to
be replaced from its holder (see chapter 7 FOCUSING
THE SENSING HEAD).
Never exchange the marking of channel K1 and K2 !
Perform the following operating steps to dismantle a lens:
Use an Allen key (width across flats 1.5 mm) to undo the
Allen screw of the mismatching protection. Remove the
mismatching protection.
Use an hexagon wrench (width across flats 13 mm) to
loosen the lenses. Use a second hexagon wrench (width
across flats 17 mm) to prevent that the optical waveguide
turns.
