Curing the Adhesive with Ultraviolet Light
Ultraviolet-curable adhesive leaves ample time for the crystal to be manipulated. When the crystal is in
the proper place, it may be fixed within seconds by shining ultraviolet light on it.
WARNING
!
CAUTION
!
The ultraviolet pen light radiates intense
ultraviolet light when the button is pressed. Do
not look directly into the ultraviolet light during
operation of the pen light. Exposure to intense
UV light, even for a brief period, can harm the
eyes. If viewing the UV light is necessary, use
UV-filtered glasses to avoid eye damage. Keep
the ultraviolet pen light out of the reach of
children. Avoid direct exposure to ultraviolet light.
1.
When you have the desired crystal in the center of the micromount’s aperture, cure the
adhesive by shining the ultraviolet pen light on the sample for about 20 seconds.
