AVANCE NEO AQS
The new AVANCE NEO AQS chassis is the consecutive development of the well proven
AVANCE III HD chassis. The AVANCE NEO is based on a ‘transceive’ principle, meaning
each NMR channel has both transmit and receive capabilities. So each channel is its own
independent spectrometer with the full RF generation, transmission and receive
infrastructure. This architecture provides the greatest flexibility in terms of instrument
configuration and multi-channel operation.
The following general safety precautions must be observed during all phases of operation
and service of the AQS system. Failure to comply with these precautions or with specific
warnings elsewhere in this manual violates safety standards of design, manufacture and
intended use of the AQS system.
BRUKER assumes no liability for the customer‘s failure to comply with these requirements
and is therefore not responsible or liable for any injury or damage that occurs as a
consequence of non-approved manipulations on the AQS system.
3.4.1
Emergency Shutoff
In case of an emergency, use the mains switch described in the console
to switch off the complete console. The AQS in AVANCE NEO systems can only be
switched off through the PDU. It is not advised to selectively switch off the AQS. Instead,
shutdown the console completely. Only if otherwise instructed by Bruker personnel, you may
be guided through a process to selectively shutdown the AQS.
3.4.2
Personnel Safety
Ground Connection
WARNING: To minimize shock hazard the AQS chassis must be connected to an electrical
ground.
The electronics cabinet is equipped with a three-conductor AC power cable. Only use power
cables approved by BRUKER or compliant with IEC safety standards.
Technically Qualified Personnel Only
WARNING: Installation and servicing should only be done by BRUKER qualified personnel.
Always disconnect power cables before servicing. Under certain conditions dangerous
voltages may exist even with the power cables removed. To avoid injuries, always disconnect
power and discharge circuits before touching them.
NOTE: Operating personnel must not remove chassis covers except as described in this
manual. Do not replace units in the console while the AQS or any other unit in the console is
still switched on. Turn the console components off through the PDU (see
). User interface, system messages, and manuals require a good understanding of the
English language.
Electrical Safety
The AQS systems’s degree of protection against electrical hazard complies with IEC
61010-1, i.e. all electrical parts are protected against touching.
WARNING: All electrical connectors must be used as supplied by BRUKER. Do not substitute
them by other types.
