Data acquisition can be tested independent of any detector signal by sending the direct
command:
TRW=1
. In that case a triangular wave signal is recorded instead of the digi-
tized detector signal. To return to normal operation, send the direct command:
TRW=0.
Detector oversaturation or
ADC overflow
• Reduce the light source intensity by using a
smaller aperture.
• Reduce the gain settings. On the OPUS
Measure
menu, select the
Advanced Measure-
ment
command. Click the
Optics
tab.
Scanner not scanning
Check the FWD and TKD LEDs on the mobile
electronics unit. If they do not light repeatedly,
proceed as follows:
• On the OPUS
Measure
menu, select the
Optic
Setup and Service
command.
• Click the
Control Panel
tab on the dialog that
opens.
• Scroll to the
Scanner control
item.
• Click once on
Reinit Scanner
. After a while the
FWD and TKD LEDs on the mobile electronics
unit flash, indicating that the scanner is in short
scan mode.

ment
